Born and raised south Texas grew up on working cattle ranch and assisting father in his mixed animal veterinary practice. Married June 1997 and a proud father of three boys.
Brooks Butler DVM
Grew up outside of Denver, Colorado. Very active in AQHA and showing Quarter Horses throughout his youth. Graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors degree in Agribusiness in 2009, a Masters degree in Biomedical Science in 2011 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Brooks is passionate about many aspects of Veterinary Medicine, with particular interest in equine lameness and small animal surgery. Hobbies outside of work include snowboarding, waterskiing, and playing golf.
H. Dean Clardy DVM
Home grown, Dr. Clardy grew up locally and graduated from Denton High School. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1979 and doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1984 from Texas A&M University. He joined Argyle Veterinary Hospital in 1985. Though his primary interest was in equine medicine, he recognized the need for a small animal service, and In 1989 he assumed ownership and guided the growth of both the small animal and equine side of the practice. In 2005 he sold the practice to Dr. Bitter. His guiding principle over nearly three decades of practice has been, “I believe every patient deserves the same level of care, the best we have, regardless of the animal value.”
Melinda Krpan DVM MS
Dr. Melinda Krpan is a University of California Davis graduate where she received her BS in Biochemistry in 1978 and her DVM in 1982. Dr. Krpan then moved to Washington State University for an internship in Equine medicine and surgery, followed by a residency in equine surgery. She also earned a master’s degree. Dr. Krpan main interest and specialty is in equine surgery. Outside of work she raises AQHA halter horses.
Melissa Pearson DVM
Dr. Pearson attended Texas A&M for her undergrad education and earned a degree in Biomedical Science in 1992. Dr. Pearson continued at A&M and received an additional veterinary science degree as well as her DVM in 1996. Dr. Pearson practiced in Flower mound for 10 years and joined Argyle Veterinary Hospital in 2006. Her main interest is in small animal internal medicine and small animal dermatology. Outside the practice, Dr. Pearson enjoys gardening and running. As a mother of three, she especially enjoys spending time with her family.
Ryan Royse DVM
Dr. Ryan Royse received his BS in zoology from the University of Oklahoma State University College of veterinary medicine in 2007 with his DVM. He stayed on at OSU to complete an internship in equine medicine. His primary interests are in small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery, along with small animal reproduction. Outside of veterinary medicine Dr. Royse enjoys spending time with his family and friends and likes to travel.
